Who I am

Hello ... My Name is Teun C. van den Dool and I live in Delft, The Netherlands

I think life is absolutely meaningless. Unfortunately, evolution supplied me with an urge to stay alive and enjoy myself.

My work

After high school I studied mechanical engineering, car engineering and physics.

I have been working at the TNO Institute of Applied Physics for the last 30 years. My main work has been development of active noise and vibration control systems (Anti-Geluid in Dutch), other electro-acoustic subjects (acoustic holography, array techniques, sonar, digital signal processing), general Opto-Mechatronics such as earth-observation and astronimical instruments for satellites, medical instruments, and semiconductor equipment

Hobbies

In my free time I like:

• reading scientific stuff,
• paragliding, mostly winching with PaHo in the Netherlands but also in the mountains all over Europe,
• designing and making light-weigth tents and camping in them,
• camping in my self-built little stealth camper.
• maintaining my database with circa 400 thousand (working) Border Collies.
• trying to keep my Linux server running.
